The Chepe Khola hydropower project in Nepal represents a milestone for Global Hydro, combining compact design with outstanding efficiency and fast-track implementation. With a total installed capacity of 9.6 MW, the plant is equipped with two vertical Pelton turbines operating under a head of 229 m. Delivered as a full Water-to-Wire solution, the scope included turbines, generators, HerosControl Plant Control System, electrical equipment, auxiliaries, and the complete grid interconnection. Commissioned within just 1.5 years, the project also marks the successful deployment of the in-house developed PeltonEVO turbine, designed to enable simplified installation while maintaining highest performance standards.
