Seti Nadi exemplifies Global Hydro’s commitment not only to delivering hydropower projects, but also to enhancing them through engineering expertise and innovative solutions. The 25 MW hydropower plant in Nepal was realized as a complete Water-to-Wire project, including two horizontal Francis turbines, generators, the HerosControl Plant Control System, transformers, MV/HV switchgear, as well as the extension of the utility’s 132 kV substation. Instead of the originally planned vertical turbine arrangement, Global Hydro developed an alternative concept based on horizontal units. The optimized design offers a more compact powerhouse layout, simplified maintenance, and enhanced operational reliability. These advantages contribute significantly to the plant’s long-term performance and have helped establish Seti Nadi as one of the region’s most reliable hydropower facilities.
